The American Heart Association which created the margarine over butter Prudent Diet Campaign and other proven foolishness is now ready to pronounce new guidelines and thinks the world should be changed to support their wisdom.

The list below may or may not be the best way to create better cardiovascular health… And the suggestion on cholesterol ignores the research showing it’s not the level of cholesterol but the ratios that are more important and the additional research observations that it’s not the cholesterol but how the body uses it that is most important.

So the American Heart Association came up with the simple seven, seven simple health behaviors or factors. Not smoking, not being overweight, being “very active”, defined as walking at least 22 minutes a day, a few fruits and veggies, below average cholesterol, normal blood pressure and normal blood sugars.
