How can that be?
Think of any form of exercise. For some people there is probably some benefit; but, different people will get more from 1 approach and less from others.
Qigong adds an energetic healing to the exercises which are slow and gentle and some can even be done sitting down.
Since some training works better than others; experiment to find which program you are most likely to continue with.
