I remember being bothered whenever a truck passed me pulling a flatbed that had pipes secured by straps. I would imagine the straps breaking followed by car crashes everywhere… Mine included.
I have no idea where this little video in my mind came from; but, I memorized a mantra of my own creation that I would keep repeating to myself to counteract any negative, fearful thinking. It worked pretty well.
