Some of the greatest bursts of personal growth in my life came from discovering how ways I could be manipulated without even suspecting I was blind to opposing views.

I read an example in of Edward De Bono’s books that demonstrate we see what we expect and not what is there. What we expect is based on what we believe… And if we believe something and run into information that contradicts our belief, our tendency is for our mind to ignore the information totally or to fade it out over time.

This next video shows 1 demonstration that most of us do not see what’s there. Children are more likely to see what you and I do not. That’s why children have such a wonderful way of asking questions about the world they see?

The awareness of our blindness helps us to see.  Question Authority and that means You Too!
